Your lone face
The chill from the window grills crept into me,
Making me shiver;
At the end of the night,
In the silence after the rain;
As I listened to the rhythm of the raindrops,
Dripping from the leaf-tips beside my window;
Gazing at the play of shadows on the walls,
Illuminated by the sporadic flashes of lightning;
It was your lone face that my memory unveiled..
